Fluid Japan News
Incredible German electronic artist May Be Horizon returns with this utterly amazing remix. “Transmission (May Be Horizon Club Mix)” takes the song into a deep, atmospheric soundscape that pulses like the beat of the night and the blood in our hearts. It combines the chill French Electro style of Paradis and sophisticated new wave of Bryan Ferry and Talk Talk, merged with the progressive electronica of Dirty Vegas.
“What a beautiful mantra like take on an already outstanding collaboration between Fluid Japan and Steve Jones.” – RICHARD, FLUID JAPAN FAN

“IN A DIFFERENT WORLD” BY RAINSURFER WITH FLUID JAPAN BACKING VOCALS NOW ON SPOTIFY AND ALL MAJOR STREAMING SERVICES
“Then the vocals hit and I was paying rapt attention, because Rainsurfer had a presence here that sounded like a phalanx of John Cales as his voice was multiplexed with chorus vocal production effects. At that point, the rest of the music bed was hitting Eno-esque marks with adroit aplomb. Making “In A Different World” feel like a long-lost track from the Eno/Cale classic “Wrong Way Up.” - POST-PUNK MONK, MUSIC REVIEWER
“The versatile alternative/new wave band FLUID JAPAN lend their trademark touch with skillfully produced backing vocals; a hallmark of their distinctive, tightly-crafted sound.” - RAINSURFER
“Very cool vibe! Mantra-like.” - STEVEN JONES, RECORDING ARTIST
“In A Different World” is an absolute masterpiece!! It has a feel of an 80s new wave track. Such a beautiful message. Such a powerhouse of a track.” - ZACH, RAINSURFER FAN
“Definitely getting OMD vibes. Nice one!” - MACHINA X, RECORDING ARTIST
“Fluid Japan’s collaboration with Rainsurfer was more a case of icing on the cake! Rainsurfer certainly brought prime goods to the table and all Fluid Japan had to do was to polish that gem a little with their usual good taste.” - POST-PUNK MONK, MUSIC REVIEWER
“In A Different World” is absolutely wonderful. It’s got the melodic layers of wonderful synth sounds similar to Depeche Mode in the mid-80s combined with some think, soothing Brian Eno-like vocals that I find very comforting. And when they go to harmony in the choruses it’s truly quite touching. This is excellent work.” - DARREN, RAINSURFER FAN

LOGAN SKY INTERVIEWED ON U.K. D.J. COLIN SPENCER’S RADIO SHOW
“TRUTH (MAY BE HORIZON REMIX)” BY STEVEN JONES + FLUID JAPAN NOW ON SPOTIFY AND ALL MAJOR STREAMING SERVICES
Photo: U.K singer Steven Jones
At its heart, “Truth” is a stealth dance song, and the May Be Horizon remix maintains that magic. Despite moving at a stately low BPM, it infectiously makes you want to move and sway to the music. It’s deep night music.
Steven Jones is half of the brilliant synthpop duo Steven Jones and Logan Sky, whose music is influenced by the stylish European analog synth soundscapes of the early 80s. He has also collaborated with legendary new wave artists such as Steve Strange from Visage and Fred Schneider from the B-52’s, and electro pioneer Man Parrish.
New Release: Live Life Loud – The Fluid Japan Remixes EP
“I love the radio edit of “Live Life Loud (Fluid Japan’s Sealab Mix)”. Todd Lewis’ bass guitar playing here is more Cure than New Order. The combination of Ebow guitar, the bass guitar, and Heather Heimbuch’s vocals is amazing. It’s an experience to listen to the three versions together. The final EP is like listening to a Mike Oldfield album.” - MAY BE HORIZON, RECORDING ARTIST
“The backbone of “Live Life Loud” does indeed remind me of YMO, but then it takes a nice turn (actually two, one at the very end) that wanders off into something all of its own. These are both terrific tastes of artists that are doing some great work.” - CHASINVICTORIA, FLUID JAPAN FAN
“A celebratory Synth Rock anthem.” - MIRAI OF INTELLIGENTSIA
“A proper synth fest. A great electronic track.” - RAINSURFER, RECORDING ARTIST
“Absolutely brilliant.” - CHRIS, FLUID JAPAN FAN
